Matt Davide Woodwinds/Bass Guitar
Matt Davide is a multi-instrumentalist, educator, and composer living in South Burlington, Vermont.
He holds a B.S. in Music Education from University of Vermont, a Jazz Composition and Arranging certificate from Berklee College of Music, and will receive a M.A. in Music and Music Education from Teachers College at Columbia University in May of 2024.
From 2015-2022 Matt built a thriving music program at Vermont Commons School in South Burlington, where he also served as the Arts Department Chair. In the fall of 2022 he joined the faculty at U-32 Middle and High School, where he directs the bands and teaches general music, as well as high school electives in music theory and music technology.
Matt has performed with many groups across the northeast including Barika, High Summer, Grundlefunk, Dr. Ruckus, Andy Gagnon's Girls Girls Girls, A House on Fire, Zach Nugent's Dead Set, and Kat Wright. Matt is also a faculty member at the Vermont Jazz Camp in Colchester, and has directed jazz combos at FlynnArts in Burlington.
